Two letters written by a soldier named 'Horst' to his family, dated 11. and 17.11.42. The unit belonged to the famous Panzer Grenadier Division Großdeutschland (also commonly referred to simply as Großdeutschland or Großdeutschland Division). This division was an elite combat unit of the German Army (Heer) that fought in France and the Eastern Front. Großdeutschland was one of the best-equipped units of the German Army.
